1. What Auctionity is

Auctionity is a software platform for listing auctions and recording bids. We provide tools to publish lots, accept bids, and keep a visible history of auction activity.

We are not a marketplace operator, broker, payment processor, escrow agent, courier, insurer, or arbitrator. We do not take possession of goods, funds, or documents. We do not verify identity, ownership, authenticity, or intent beyond basic account access.

2. No payments, no escrow, no guarantee

We do not handle payments of any kind. We do not collect money for lots, hold deposits, run escrow, issue refunds, or settle disputes about money.

We do not act as a guarantor for buyers, sellers, delivery, quality, legality, or completion of any deal. A winning bid on Auctionity is not a platform-backed commitment that the other party will pay, ship, appear, or honor any promise.

Any payment method you choose — cash, bank transfer, crypto, third-party apps, or anything else — is arranged entirely between users, at your own risk.

3. You deal with other users, not with us

Every auction, bid, message, meeting, shipment, and payment happens between people who use the platform. We are not a party to those relationships and are not responsible for what users say or do.

That includes, without limitation: false descriptions, fake photos, stolen goods, unpaid bids, no-shows, changed prices, harassment, fraud, and illegal offers. Users alone are responsible for their actions and for complying with the law.

4. Always verify buyers and sellers

Trust no one by default. A profile, bid history, or polite conversation is not proof that someone is honest.

• Check identity, contact details, and reputation through independent channels before exchanging money or goods.
• Confirm that the seller actually owns the item and has the right to sell it.
• Confirm that the buyer can and will pay under clear, written terms you both accept.
• Prefer public, well-lit meeting places; tell someone you trust where you are going.
• Be especially careful with high-value lots, remote shipping, advance payments, and first-time counterparties.

If anything feels rushed, secretive, or inconsistent — walk away. There is always another lot.

5. Deals can fall apart at any time

Even after a bid is accepted or an auction ends, outcomes are not guaranteed. Expect that:

• A counterparty may cancel, delay, renegotiate, or disappear without notice.
• Stated conditions (price, shipping, timing, item condition) may change after the fact.
• People may misrepresent themselves, ghost after winning, or engage in fraud or other misconduct.
• Auctions may be edited, cancelled, or become unavailable due to user action, moderation, technical issues, or legal requirements.

Plan for failure. Do not rely on a single deal for critical needs. Do not send money or goods until you have independently verified the other party and agreed on enforceable terms outside this platform if you need them.

6. Protect yourself before you commit

• Never pay in full up front to an unverified stranger, especially via irreversible methods.
• Inspect items in person when possible. Photos and descriptions can be outdated, edited, or stolen.
• Put key terms in writing (what, price, when, how delivery/payment works, who pays fees). Screenshots of chats are useful but are not a substitute for your own caution.
• Use payment methods with buyer/seller protections only if you understand their limits — and remember Auctionity is not part of that process.
• Do not share passwords, one-time codes, bank details beyond what a payment requires, or personal documents with people you have not verified.
• For shipping: track packages, insure valuable goods, and confirm addresses carefully. Lost or seized shipments are between you and the carrier/counterparty.

7. Listings and content are not verified by us

We do not authenticate lots, check titles, appraise value, or guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete, or lawful. Treat every listing as unverified user content until you have checked it yourself.

Bid history and timestamps reflect what the system recorded. They do not prove that an offline deal completed, that funds moved, or that an item was delivered as described.

After bidding ends with eligible candidates, the seller can open contacts with one or more bidders, then select a winner to finish the lot. Revealed parties (and the winner) can see each other's contact details and may file a report if something goes wrong. Contacts remain unverified user input.

8. Disputes are yours to resolve

If something goes wrong — non-payment, non-delivery, damage, misrepresentation, or any other conflict — you must resolve it with the other party (and, if needed, with law enforcement or courts). Auctionity does not mediate, reverse auctions as a refund tool, recover funds, or compensate losses.

We may, at our discretion, remove content or restrict accounts that appear abusive, but moderation is not a promise of protection or recovery.

9. Prohibited items and content

You may not list, bid on, promote, or arrange deals for goods or services that are illegal or restricted under applicable law. Violations may lead to removal of content and account restriction. You alone are responsible for complying with the law where you live and where a deal takes place.

Prohibited categories include, without limitation:

• Weapons and explosives — firearms, ammunition, explosives, and related controlled parts or accessories.
• Drugs and controlled substances — illegal drugs, controlled substances, and paraphernalia intended for illicit use.
• Pornography and sexual services — pornography, sexual services, and any sexually explicit material that is illegal under applicable law. Material involving minors is strictly forbidden (zero tolerance).
• Stolen or fraudulent goods — stolen, counterfeit, or fraudulently obtained items; fake documents or IDs.
• Hazardous materials — toxins, dangerous chemicals, and items banned from sale or transport.
• People and prohibited life forms — human trafficking, body parts, or live animals where prohibited.
• Financial crime tools — stolen payment cards, malware, hacking services, money-laundering schemes, and similar.
• Anything else that violates local, national, or international law.

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, do not list it. Auctionity does not provide legal advice; when in doubt, assume it is prohibited.

10. Your responsibilities

• Only list items you have the legal right to sell, and only bid if you intend and are able to complete the deal under terms you accept.
• Do not use the platform for illegal goods (see section 9), money laundering, scams, or impersonation.
• Keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your login.
• Follow applicable local laws for taxes, consumer rules, export controls, and prohibited items — we do not advise you on the law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auctionity and its operators are not liable for any loss, damage, claim, or expense arising from use of the platform or from interactions with other users — including lost money, lost goods, lost profits, personal injury, or reputational harm.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Features may change, break, or be discontinued.

12. Changes to these rules

We may update these rules at any time. Continued use of Auctionity after changes means you accept the updated version. If you do not agree, stop using the platform.
